Description
Implicit biases have particular relevance for private safety/security professionals who must make consequential decisions regarding who is a threat, who is telling the truth, who needs further scrutiny. Decisions by security professionals based on their biases–which can manifest outside of conscious awareness–can make those personnel ineffective, unsafe and unjust. This webinar will provide an overview of the science of implicit bias, discuss how those biases might show up in the daily routines of front-line private security personnel, and discuss implications for change.
