David Fernicola
Bioengineer, Attorney, Investigator and Trusted Advisor

After serving as Special Agent with the FBI for over 15 years, David Fernicola now advises some of the largest multinational companies on security and risk mitigation as vice president of business development at Prosegur Global Risk Services.

During his career at the FBI, he was deployed domestically and internationally, serving as a case agent, legal advisor, coordinator and instructor for complex investigations involving RICO, ITAR, intellectual property, research, extortion, money laundering, cyber, witness tampering and corruption.

Prior to joining the FBI, he worked as an attorney and technology transfer professional, drafting and negotiating agreements and licenses involving new inventions and protection of intellectual property.

David holds a law degree from Syracuse University, College of Law; Master’s of Science in Bioengineering from Syracuse University, College of Engineering and Computer Science; and Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from William Paterson University. He is also a graduate of the FBI Academy, and a recipient of multiple awards for his investigative work including being named the Investigator of the Year; receiving two Citations for Special Achievement; and the BG Richard T. Ellis USA Award.
