Learn the impact of the 'last foot' of the supply chain.

Accelerated by COVID-19, home delivery is increasing at a rapid rate shifting crime opportunities from retail establishments to the consumers' home. As package theft increases, retailers and delivery companies are experiencing record losses and reduced brand trust. This session will diagram the last mile of the supply chain, introducing the 'Last Foot' of the supply chain and identifying risks. Next, it will review what is known about package theft, emphasizing how package thieves operate and illustrations of how fear of package theft may impact consumer behavior. Lastly, by synthesizing multiple Situational Crime Prevention techniques, methods, and technology, attendees will be able to identify multiple prevention efforts in the 'Last Foot' to reduce loss and enhance customer satisfaction.
