Past cyber-attacks are a mirror to the future. SB 327 is the first regulation of its type; and all can be certain, it will not be the last. And, with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), a business that owns, licenses, or maintains personal information about a California resident shall implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information, to protect the personal information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.

Organizations must examine SB 327 and CCPA to ensure the readiness of your enterprise cybersecurity program. Further, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and HITRUST CSF prescribes; standards that organizations can leverage to improve their cyber readiness.
