Video Surveillance manufactures want us all to believe that their technologies will drastically improve our security posture…but will it? What does the research say? Is there even any research? Discover from real world experiences how AI can, and cannot, help us and what we can do to leverage the technology when we couple it with the right policies and procedures – but we certainly don’t need everything they are selling us!

Having begun my career in security at The United States Marine Corps Security Forces Training Battalion in 1996, I was trained in all areas of protection and then assigned to the White House Military Office, White House Communications Agency, where training in protection continued from the US Secret Service and many private training institutes. After leaving the Marine Corps I worked in Executive Protection, Contract Security Guard Work, Security Consulting and Electronic Security Integration. I have held director level and VP roles in operations, training, and sales, in addition to positions with local and national integrators and a global manufacturer. I currently assist a vast customer base with aligning policies and procedures to physical security system design and implementation.
