The advance of the security profession on the way to professionalization, has broadened its scope. Although we have always considered training paramount to operate security teams and services, the ESRM cycle, requires that we stress test our ability, capability, and effectivity to achieve real preparedness.
To do this, mere training will not do. We need to exercise; perform different types of exercises, for multiple scenarios, involving different levels of responsibility within the organization.
Tabletop exercises, drills and full-scale exercises are not all. We must think outside the box, develop, plan and implement experience-based simulations that make people feel the way we want, for them to learn or test what we need.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Participants will gain insight into how to incorporate experience-based activities into the security program as a means of testing and training.
- Participants will learn how to incorporate Simulations and Exercises to the objectives of the security area and into its performance metrics.
- Participants will learn to develop an experience-based activity parting from the objective.
