Wednesday, 12 October 2022
12:30-1:30pm EDT
Facial Biometrics are measurements of facial characteristics that can be used to identify an individual. Facial Biometrics are used every day by people who unlock their phone or start their car. What makes Facial Biometrics now a hot topic with polar opposite acceptance or rejection? While there is a vast amount of vendor rhetoric and legal concerns over what Facial Biometrics is, not only in the United States but across the world; companies and cities are weighing the options of Facial Biometrics to enhance security and reduce crime. This session will examine these technologies and the legal end ethical concerns around each of them and offer opportunity for audience question and comment.
Thank you to the Information Technology Security Community and the Security Applied Sciences Community for their collaboration and support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, October 2022.
